Term Dates & new Lesson Prices from 1st May 2011
As you are probably aware, Poolbabies have held our lesson prices since July 2008 and absorbed many increased costs over this period. Over the last 2½ years, all our swimming pools have significantly increased their pool hire fees by an average of 20%, and we now have to reluctantly increase our lesson prices From 1st May 2011, the new lesson prices are as follows: Babies from £8 to £9 per lesson Toddlers & New Borns from £7 to £8 per lesson Older children from £5.50 to £6 per lesson We have also changed the price discounts for families with more than 1 child. There is now no discount for families with 2 swimmers. For families with 3 swimmers, there is a discount of 50p per child per lesson, which can mean up to a £19 discount for a full 14 week term. 10% Discount - We now give a 10% discount per swimmer, if you pay for a full term’s lessons instead of half a term at a time. e.g. Up to £12.60 for a baby for a 14 week term. However to qualify for this 10% discount, your payment must be received before the 1st lesson of each new term. This Closing Date is on each term’s invoice. Free Swimming lesson - There are 2 ways you can earn a free lesson: ‘Customer Referral’ scheme - whereby if you refer a new customer to us and they join Pool Babies, we will give you 1 free lesson. If you can’t attend lessons for 1 or more weeks, find a friend to take your place for the week(s) you miss, if they then join Poolbabies, you get 1 free lesson. We’re confident that our prices are very competitive with other swim schools, and still represent excellent value for the high quality tuition all our swimmers enjoy. Pool Babies teaching methods are focused to ensure every baby, toddler and adult has a safe and enjoyable time in the water. Drawing on over 20 years of teaching experience, I have worked to develop a whole life swimming course, starting with babies learning the fun of being in water and most importantly self rescue skills. Moving through to learning to swim/lifesaving and survival skills and or speed and competition training for older teenagers and confidence improvement for adults.
Babies, Toddlers and Children gain a good healthy regard for safety around waterAs parents we've all got enough to worry about so we'll help remove one of those little anxieties. The classes build on a child's instinctive survival skills so if the worst happened and they fell into water they could cope. We'll teach them - and you - the basics so as a family you can relax and enjoy swimming and visiting pools. These self rescue skills can prove crucial in all sorts of settings from a paddling pool in your garden to the communal pool on holiday. Parents not confident in water? Let us put you at ease. You don't need to be an Olympic swimmer to be able to pass on valuable water skills to your child. All our classes are tailored to the abilities of parent and child. You can be assured that our small class sizes led by fully qualified and experienced staff will meet your needs. While the lessons are planned and structured we will always adapt them to suit the pupils so you need never worry about feeling out of your depth. You can go at your own pace and do just as much as you feel comfortable with. Best of all we offer the chance to "try before you buy". Come and try a class for free to see just how we work. Babies, Toddlers and Beginners learn through fun and gamesWe all like to have fun and it's how children learn best. No matter what age youngsters will pick up skills faster if they're enjoying themselves. Safety is always paramount but the emphasis is also on fun too. The water becomes a happy relaxed learning environment, and new skills are introduced in a fun way. Our toddlers love "Counting Ducks", "Mummy Boats" and the "Jelly Walk". The water slide is always a favourite too, but each of these teach children important lessons that will develop their abilities. We never talk down to our pupils but will always explain and demonstrate using language they understand and respond to. Older children can work towards swimming awards giving them a fun goal to aim for - and a sense of achievement when they reach their target. Make lots of new like minded friendsOur classes are full of parents just like you. We like to see just as many Dads in the water as Mums! Why not make it a day out for the whole family? If mum wants to enjoy a class with baby Dad is always welcome to watch from the Poolside and of course it works the other way too. There's always a warm welcome for single parents as well. Come and meet other local parents while giving your child a chance to learn a skill that will stay with them for life. Pool Babies gives your little one the opportunity to socialize with new friends while you do the same. Build up your baby's physical strengthBeing in the water will help your child to co-ordinate and control their body. The classes will improve balance and core strength - both crucial for their development. For our youngest pupils we'll give you exercises to practise in the bath at home so you can build skills as often as you like. Give you child an introduction to activity that will help to keep them fit and healthy for life. With the help of Pool Babies you can make sure your baby grows up with confidence around water and a love of swimming. "Our aim is to introduce your baby to enjoying a lifetime of healthy exercise." The History of Pool BabiesIn 1987, my own children were having swimming lessons at a local pool. Watching them going for badge after badge with no emphasis on stroke technique or serious water safety, I began to look into teaching my self. Since 1987, myself and my team have taught over 4,000 children of all ages to swim with good technique and have real respect for the water as well as achieving badges. I am very proud of the fact that some of those children from our early days are now bringing their children to us for the first time! Telephone : Marjolyn Hanselman on 07974 692628 | ||
