Introduction to the PoolBabies teamThe Pool Babies team are all qualified teachers with the STA (Swimming Teachers Association) or ASA (Amateur Swimming Association).
The team also have life saving and first aid qualifications. All the teachers have been recently CRB checked (Criminal Research Bureau).
We are a dedicated and enthusiastic team who work very well together, regularly assessing each other to ensure continual improvement in the quality of swimming lessons.
Normally 2 or more qualified instructors per swimming lesson to provide as much 1-2-1 tuition as possible. Our aim is to make swimming friendly, fun and flexible for your child in a safe environment or main children's swimming lessons.
We teach all ages and abilities of children from birth, older babies, toddlers, beginners, intermediate and advanced swimmers.

 Marjolyn Hanselman
- Started in 1989 as the Morley Swim School which then became Pool Babies in 2003; Marjolyn has 20 years swimming teaching experience and her enthusiasm and passion for teaching swimming is as strong as ever
- Taught children at Stamford Bridge primary school for 14 years between 1989-2003 and also teaches new-borns at Applefields pool in Burnholme
- Teaches at all 6 of the pools where Pool Babies are located.
- She has recently made the Poolbabies website more user friendly and informative and now produces a Newsletter.
- Has 2 grown up children and living with her new partner
 Helen Moore
- Founder member of the Swim School and Pool Babies with 12 years experience
- Started as a parent helper at Stamford Bridge pool in 1998 and quickly graduated as a full instructor.
- Helen and Marjolyn taught the whole of Stamford Bridge school from reception to Year 6 over a 5 year period.
- Helen is also an Assistant teacher at Stamford Bridge primary school.
- Married with 2 teenage children
 Heidi Richards
- The bubbliest member of the team, teaches at New Earswick, Strensall, Stamford Bridge and Pocklington, with 11 years experience.
- Passionate about her teaching and both clients and children always appreciate this.

 Debbie Mennell
- Teaches at the Royal York Hotel, Strensall and Stamford Bridge with 7 years experience.
- Debbie's eagerness and wholehearted commitment to teaching swimming rubs off on both clients and fellow instructors.
